In the wake of her thrilling past as a theater student, restaurant hostess, nurse aide, and newspaper writer, Carrie Anne Noble now crafts enchanting fiction for teens and adults. Her debut novel The Mermaid’s Sister won the 2014 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award for Young Adult Fiction and the 2016 Realm Award for Book of the Year. Her other books include YA fantasies entitled The Gold-Son and Gretchen and the Bear. Carrie lives in the Pennsylvania mountains, where she enjoys taking walks, frolicking with her half-Corgi, and hosting the occasional mad tea party.

Launch Party and Beyond Hi, all! I thought I'd share some photos from the launch party we had for The Gold-Son on June 30th. The James V. Brown Library of Williamsport, PA kindly allowed us to use their beautiful media room for our enchanted woods-themed festivities. A Leprechaun showed up for the party, courtesy of Dad's Garage Art. Thanks, Wayne Parfitt! Pot o' gold cupcakes sprouting rainbows, and other goodies! Bat cookies in honor of our Faerie-bat friend Copper Meringue mushrooms, chocolate mushrooms, shamrock cookies, forest berries... The author read aloud and then gave out fabulous prizes! Yes, I wanted to show off my cute dress. Author & her wonderful husband--who gave her the shiny tree. Not part of the party--but amazing gifts my publisher sent me to celebrate the book's release. Skyscape is the best!  Also...great news! Audiofile Magazine gave the audio book their Earphones Award for outstanding audio book

Spring Cleaning Writer Challenge

Hi! I was tagged by the charming & very talented author H.L. Burke for this springtime challenge! In spite of the fact that I find the idea of spring cleaning reprehensible, here's my post! 1. Dust-bunnies and Plot-bunnies: Reorganize Your Writing Goals (Or Make New Ones)   My Big Fat Goal is to get my current novel-in-progress into shape so I can query agents and sign with a really great one by the end of 2018! Easy as pie...I wish! 2. Which Stage Are You At? Expound! a. Remodeling layouts (planning the story) b. Painting the walls in colorful hues (writing) c. Polishing the windows and scrubbing the floors and putting flowers in vases (editing) d. Blueprints (not to the cleaning or remodeling yet… just drawing up plans for the very beginning inklings of a story) e. Some combination of those things (cleaning out a closet) As usual, I’m doing   a. and b. at the same time…and a little c.   Which may explain why it takes me so long to write
